Prof. MUDr. Michal Kršek, DrSc., MBA, FEFIM is a leading Czech internist and endocrinologist with an exceptionally broad professional and academic qualification. He is one of the internationally recognized authorities in the field of endocrinology, specializing especially in pituitary and adrenal diseases, metabolic disorders and complex endocrine issues.He graduated with honours from the Faculty of General Medicine of Charles University. During his career, he has worked at leading clinical and academic institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad, including a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Manitoba in Canada. He has been a professor of internal medicine since 2008 and has long held senior and privileged positions at the internal medicine clinics of Charles University and the General University Hospital in Prague.In addition to clinical practice, he is intensively engaged in scientific, pedagogical and publishing activities. He is the author and co-author of a number of scientific papers, an active lecturer at national and international congresses and a long-time driver of the development of Czech endocrinology. Since 2014 he has been the President of the Czech Society of Endocrinology of the Czech Academy of Sciences.His approach is based on precise diagnosis, interdisciplinary collaboration and individualized patient care that combines cutting-edge medicine with respect for the human story.
