Mastectomy

A traditional mastectomy removes the gland along with the nipple–areola complex, whereas a subcutaneous mastectomy preserves the nipple and areola and removes the gland underneath. The choice depends on anatomy and medical indication.
Yes, in selected cases, one-stage reconstruction (e.g., implants) is possible. In other cases, a delayed approach is chosen to ensure safer healing. The decision is made by the doctor after evaluation.
Most commonly, implants are used, or a gradual reconstruction is planned. The method and timing are individualized.
Incisions are placed to be as discreet as possible. Scar care and appropriate compression help them fade gradually. The final shape aims for symmetry and balanced proportions.
Light activities are usually possible after 1–2 weeks, and full activity after 4–6 weeks, depending on healing. Compression garments should be worn as instructed by the doctor.
For options with implants, their cost is charged separately. An exact estimate is provided after consultation and selection of the procedure.
